BIBLICAL COUNSELING COHORT
Discover the fundamentals of counseling and articulate the difference between Biblical Counseling, Christian Counseling, and Psychological Counseling. This course covers biblical principles, counseling skills, faith integration, and ethics. Master the counseling fundamentals and be prepared to apply scriptures to areas of difficulty in the believer’s life, as well as teach them how to use the “Put Off/Put On” method in real-life crises.
- Understand and articulate the difference between Biblical Counseling, Christian Counseling, and Psychological Counseling.
- Understand and articulate how Biblical Theology undergirds Biblical Counseling.
- Understand and articulate the doctrine of the Sufficiency of Scripture and its relationship and impact on Biblical Counseling.
- Have an adequate understanding of the genesis and history of Biblical Counseling
- Understand and articulate the doctrine of the Put off/Put on Model and how to counsel using this model.
- Gain knowledge of the priority of scripture in Biblical counseling.
- Understand and articulate the motivation and goal of Biblical Counseling.
Greek For Ministry Cohort
Master basic grammar and vocabulary, equipping yourself to translate, interpret, and apply Scripture in your daily life and ministry. Engage in exercises to build your understanding of grammar rules and essential words.
- Understand the basic grammar of biblical Greek.
- Know foundational Greek vocabulary words (about 320).
- Translate from the New Testament with some helps
- Use biblical Greek as a tool for ministry to better understand and communicate God’s Word.
- Utilize commentaries and biblical resources that require knowledge of the Greek language.
