Join us in this free workshop with counselor Debra Palms and seasoned pastor Dr. Wilbert Baker as we explore the definition of biblical counseling, its difference from other forms of counseling, and for whom it is specifically designed for.

About the Presenters

Debra Palms - PACE Academy

Debra Palms has been a Counselor at Lakeland Missionary Baptist Church for the last 8 years and is the Leader of the Lakeland Prayer Ministry. She is also a Director of Student Services for Aldine Independent School District. Ms. Palms earned a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Luther Rice Seminary, a Certification of Biblical Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Research from Indiana State University. She has led Biblical Counseling workshops for Area Baptist Associations.

Wilbert C. Baker, D.Min. - PACE Academy

Dr. Wilbert Baker is currently the Program Director of PACE Academy. He has several certifications in Biblical Counseling, Black Church Studies, Theology, and the Bible. Dr. Baker has been a pastor for over 30 years and serves as the Founder & Pastor of Lakeland Missionary Baptist Church.
