Gracism “Finding Our Way Forward”
Dr. Mark “Dean” Haywood
Vice President of Student Services
Like so many of you, our hearts are broken here at Grace School of Theology as we witnessed the senseless death of Mr. George Floyd and the resulting reaction expressed across our country and around the world.
We could not remain silent either. Please take a moment to view this heartfelt message from Dr. Mark Haywood as he introduces messages penned by him and the President & Founder of Grace School of Theology, Dr. Dave Anderson:
- Gracism vs. Racism, Dr. Dave Anderson
- Finding Our Way Forward, Dr. Mark Haywood
These gentlemen share wisdom from their many years of living through the reality of racism. The great challenges of racism are woven into the fabric of our society, at all levels, in a variety of entities and institutions, and people—and we must recognize racism as a formidable foe with no one place or person to blame because it is so ubiquitous.
The only way to overcome the hatred of racism is with the love of gracism.
We hope these messages will be a blessing as you continue to process and pray—and speak out—with us.
