#171: Your View of the Millennial Kingdom Matters

July 8, 2022
“How Do You Think You Get to Heaven When You Die?”

If we were to do a man-on-the-street interview and ask this question, more often than not, the answer would revolve around work. “Well, if my good works outweigh my bad,” “If I am good until I die,” and so on.

So, where does this false reasoning originate? Would it surprise you to learn that much of the confusion arises from teaching regarding the Millennial Kingdom?

That’s right. Your view of the Millennium is a gospel issue, and today we want to explain how that affects you.  So, to help us better understand this 10000-year reign, its purpose, and the judgments involved, is Dr. Dave Anderson, Founder and President of Grace School of Theology.

He is also a graduate of Rice University, with a Master’s in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Greek New Testament and Early Christian Literature from Dallas Seminary. In addition, he is the author of numerous books, including Triumph through Trials, Portraits of Righteousness, Maximum Joy, Saving the Saved, and Relationship and Fellowship.

The Only One Worthy

Who has the right to rule the universe? Is God worthy of being loved?

We get answers to both those questions in the millennium. So the purpose of what we call the meta-narrative for mankind, which explains the human race, revolves around the Millennium.

How does the Millennial answer those two questions? When Jesus Christ sits down on that throne, He will allow those who have been faithful and following Him through the centuries to reign with Him over planet Earth. And unlike the corrupt systems we see in many forms of government, we will be reigning with perfect justice, just as the first Adam’s offspring were meant to.

Jesus is the Only Way

For a long time, the millennial kingdom has been a source of concern. There are numerous answers to the question of where you will be when you die, such as good works or being a good person.

According to the Bible, there is only one way to heaven, and that is through Jesus, God’s Son. Dr. Anderson explains more about this topic in this podcast.

May this episode help you in your journey as a new believer of Christ or anybody seeking the truth.
