It’s easy to feel good and do the right thing when everything is going well, but what if you’re lost and without hope for the future? Where is God in that? What is He saying in those situations?

Set in a post-famine Israel, the Book of Ruth is a narrative about two widows who, through a series of events orchestrated by God, found themselves in the care of a wealthy kinsman-redeemer. This isn’t just a story that happened a long time ago. It’s the reality of people who walk the road paved with challenges and uncertainty every day. They want to have hope that things will get better. They need a Savior who will protect them and call them His own.

This study guide is a compelling illustration of God and His covenant relationship with His people. Understanding the value and reliability of this covenant will propel you to live without anxiety as you keep in step with His plans for your life.

“For wherever you go, I will go; wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus and more may the Lord do to me if anything but death parts me from you.

Ruth 1:16-17
