Why Grace? The 3 Life-Changing Reasons
Ed Waken was introduced to Grace School of Theology through a friend. Upon discovering the Grace community, its commitment to sound theology, and the cost-effective tuition, he was immediately convinced to enroll. Summer of 2019, he graduated with a Master of Ministry (MM) degree.

I am excited that I can have this degree to take forward for the last season of my life so that I can finish well.
Experiencing first hand how life changing it is to truly understand the Gospel, Ed was equipped to teach Scripture to his students as it is. With the foundation of free grace, that all we need to be saved is to believe in Jesus Christ our Lord, his students were able to have the assurance of their salvation and have the joy to take the Gospel whatever they do and wherever they go.
As he surpasses his 60s, Ed encourages whoever is apprehensive to enroll because they’re already in the later stage of life, thinking that they’re too old to just go for it and study. He is indeed a testament of God’s faithfulness as Ed successfully graduates with a Master of Ministry (MM) from Grace and is now an Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Ministries.
Aside from teaching at Grace School of Theology. Ed actively teaches, trains, writes, mentors, and consults about evangelism, leadership, and organic church principles. Currently, he’s helping a network of house churches in Phoenix, Arizona and worldwide.
Grace School of Theology provides life-long learners equal opportunity to have a quality theological education at whatever stage of their life they may be. Eager learners like Ed can still pursue quality education because of Grace’s accessible and attainable courses. He is equipped to teach and train others to share about the love of Christ—a love that cannot be earned and cannot be lost.
