Certificate in Black Church Studies (CBCS)

In our rapidly changing culture, pastors and leaders have a unique opportunity to be a voice for hope, healing, justice, wisdom, redemption, and reconciliation within the body of Christ. The Black church has incredible potential to facilitate a transformative impact in the area of revitalizing, rebuilding, and restructuring communities and relationships.

Grace School of Theology’s Black Church Studies Program strives to maintain biblical accuracy along with cultural relevancy. When one enrolls into our program, we introduce our students to sound biblical instruction, cogent church history as well as practical guidance to contextualize ministry skills and tools. Students enjoy mentoring and training from seasoned pastors, church leaders, and professors in our classroom.

Black Church Studies Learning Outcomes

  1. Educating everyone on knowing Christ and growing in Christ.
  2. Eradicating biblical illiteracy
  3. Celebrating the history, culture, and contributions of the Black Church and her leaders.
