Grace in Action
Quality Education for Lifelong Learners
Dr. Kenny Hodges has always had the desire to put free grace theology into a written format that is practical and applicable to believers who are seeking to learn and grow. Being in the Doctor of Ministry (DMin) program at Grace School of Theology developed his critical thinking, trained him to wrestle with current theological issues, and taught him to address those issues. Currently, Dr. Hodges is part of the faculty as an Adjunct Professor of Bible Exposition at Grace School of Theology.

I believe that Grace is a beacon of light in a world that desperately needs to hear the good news of the gospel of grace.
Months after beginning this DMin journey, Kenny was diagnosed with cancer. Alongside his seminary education, he also needed to undergo chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and two major surgeries. He drew strength and comfort from Psalm 71, specifically verses seventeen and eighteen, “O God, Thou hast taught me from my youth; And I still declare Thy wondrous deeds. And even when I am old and grey, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Thy strength to this generation, Thy power to all who are to come.” Kenny is now cancer-free.
After transitioning out of formal church ministry, he felt that the DMin program would open doors for a writing ministry to declare God’s strength and power to this generation and those to come. He appreciates the DMin program’s dean at the time, Dr. Fred Chay because he was always ready to give guidance and help.
“Balancing full-time church ministry and the academics of seminary was often challenging but very rewarding. I’m extremely grateful and proud to have my degree from Grace School of Theology. I believe that Grace is a beacon of light in a world that desperately needs to hear the good news of the gospel of grace.”
Grace School of Theology is more than ready to provide quality theological education to eager lifelong learners like Kenny so that he can go and equip spiritual leaders of every nation to preach, teach, and train others to share about the love of Christ—a love that cannot be earned and cannot be lost.
