Empowering the Next Generation Through Theological Education
As I am being established in the Word through Grace, I will be able to equip other people, especially students, to be more established, equipped, and empowered in the Word, their faith, and the community they are a part of.
Rochelle chose Grace for its alignment with her values and statement of faith. “I believe their values and their statement of faith are the same as mine,” she shares. The Master of Ministry program offers her the opportunity to be further equipped for her role in campus ministry. “It is especially helpful for what I’m doing in the ministry,” she adds.
Affordability was a significant factor in Rochelle’s decision to enroll at Grace. Despite the challenges of online learning, she has found the technical aspects manageable and is gradually adapting to the virtual classroom environment. “Learning online is quite challenging, but I’m getting used to it,” she admits.
Rochelle’s educational journey faced an unexpected hurdle due to the pandemic, which disrupted her initial plan to pursue a Master in Counseling. However, the period of reflection during the pandemic reinforced her desire to continue her studies. “I was praying and asking God to pursue further studies to equip me and grow in my knowledge and understanding of who God is,” she reflects. Encouragement from her community and the support of her husband played a crucial role in her decision to enroll at Grace.
Accreditation was another essential consideration for Rochelle. “It is so important that I’m studying in an accredited school,” she emphasizes, highlighting the importance of credibility in her educational pursuits. She is also grateful for the financial support from donors, which has made her enrollment possible. “I’m really grateful for the people who are sponsoring and believing in this venture.”
Rochelle believes that her studies at Grace will profoundly impact her calling. “I will be further equipped and established in the foundations of my faith,” she says. This solid foundation will enable her to better equip and empower the students she leads. “As I am being established, I will be able to equip other people, especially students, to be more established, equipped, and empowered in the Word, their faith, and the community they are a part of.”
Rochelle’s journey at Grace underscores the importance of continuous learning and the impact it can have on one’s ability to lead and inspire the next generation. She highly recommends Grace to those seeking to deepen their theological knowledge. “You will not just be established or trained in the faith or Word, but you will also be empowered to apply and live out the calling that God has for you because of the right foundations that you have.”
