In our rapidly changing culture, church pastors and leaders have a unique opportunity to be a voice of hope, healing, justice, wisdom, redemption, and reconciliation to the broader church at large.

This free webinar will introduce you to Grace School of Theology’s Black Church Studies Program with the purpose of educating all interested and informing the uninformed on the historic role of the black church in American Society. Students will be trained, empowered and challenged to be catalysts of transformation and reconciliation in their community.

The Black Church has incredible potential to have a powerful transformative effect in rebuilding and renewing divided communities. In this webinar, anticipate to explore how to equip your leaders to develop capacities of contextualization and construction from the Black Church life, thought, work, and witness from prominent Black Church leaders and scholars today.

About the Speakers

Dr. Mark “Dean” Haywood

Dr. Mark “Dean” Haywood has decades of proven excellence and experience in leading and teaching within the educational arena. As the Provost and Professor of Homiletics, Hermeneutics, and Bible Exposition at Grace School of Theology, he is committed to encouraging students and staff alike to continue to “see it through!” no matter the circumstance.

Dr. D. Z. Cofield
Dr. D. Z. Cofield has traveled across the world sharing God’s love, serving, and teaching others on Christian Education, Expository Preaching, Pastoral Ministries, Worship, and Leadership Development. Currently, he serves as the Senior Pastor of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He is the founder of two non-profit organizations, Hope for Families, Inc. and Hope Educational Services, and has also established a preaching and teaching ministry called Word of Hope Ministries.
Dr. Thomas Beavers
Dr. Thomas Beavers is the servant leader of New Rising Star Church (also known as THE STAR & #TEAMSTAR) and leads several efforts that impact the community which include but are not limited to: education, financial literacy, workforce development, housing, recreation, and the church. His goal is twofold: to preach the gospel for the purpose of enlarging Heaven, and to develop people in the community so that they may have access to a better quality of life on earth.
Dr. John R. Adolph
Dr. John R. Adolph has a prime objective to reach lost souls and those who are unsaved. This man of God’s message has reached a vast array of social-economic communities including but not limited to men, women, members of the armed forces, and people internationally as well. He believes in vision with a mission and that if God can’t fix it, nobody can. God can handle it! Currently, he serves as the Senior Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
