Grace in Action

Understanding the Truth and Beauty of God’s Redemptive Plan for Humanity

When the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in one of his letters, he reminded the young pastor about the importance of “accurately handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15) amidst the false teachings that were prevalent during that time. Today, the need remains for spiritual leaders to faithfully and accurately teach and preach the Word of God. Thus, a proper and diligent approach to studying the Scriptures is paramount.

Understanding the Truth and Beauty of God’s Redemptive Plan for Humanity
Once you are able to grasp the true nature of Free Grace theology and appreciate the differences between justification and sanctification, it really unlocks the ability to enjoy your relationship with God.

Michael “Todd” Fagan recognized this biblical message’s value when he enrolled at Grace School of Theology. According to Todd, with the many issues regarding doctrinal teaching in different churches today, it is essential to return to the unchanging truth of God’s Word. He values the approach of Grace in remaining faithful to what the Bible is teaching, and this is what kept him pursuing his education at the seminary.

“Grace does an amazing job of educating us on the cause of these divisions and shows the Free Grace position through a historical-grammatical hermeneutical method.”

Todd was honest in saying there were doubts and hesitations initially in his decision-making process. Still, he eventually did enroll at Grace because he knew that what he would be learning would be vital for his life and ministry. Todd strongly desires to understand the Bible and what it tells about God’s redemptive story. For him, there is nothing more he would like to do with his life than to learn more about the love of Christ.
“I stepped out in faith and ultimately decided that I could at least ‘dip my toe in the water.’ I have never looked back since.”
Todd has made a great decision. What he learned from Grace greatly impacted his life and ministry and led him to the correct way of thinking. He specifically points out Soteriology and The Basis of Free Grace Theology with Dr. Dave Anderson and Dr. Ken Wilson, respectively, as some of his favorite classes. In addition, Todd learned to interpret some critical Scriptures on God’s redemptive plan correctly. By doing so, he can appreciate more the grace of God manifested through the sacrifice made by Christ at the Calvary.

“Once you are able to grasp the true nature of Free Grace theology and appreciate the differences between justification and sanctification, it really unlocks the ability to enjoy your relationship with God.”

Even if Todd is actively involved in the ministry as a Children’s Pastor, he is optimistic that he can focus on his studies at Grace and ministry at his local church. Todd credits the accessibility of Grace as one of the factors that made him continue his theological education. Even if he is in the ministry, he can still attend his classes online. This also makes his targeted degrees, Masters of Ministry (MM) and Masters in Biblical Studies (MABS), attainable for him.
“Lectures and class discussions are recorded for viewing at your convenience, and correspondence with a professor is only an email away. The ministry did not get in the way of my education.”
Todd is very well-satisfied with his experience and the many things he has learned from Grace. He hopes to find more avenues to share the love of Christ with many people who need to hear about it.
“While I currently serve as a pastor for youth ministries, my long-term desire is to plant a Free Grace church in the Conroe/Willis area.”
