Chapel Service
with Dr. Mark Rae
Dr. Mark Rae encourages us to engage all our senses in experiencing Christ this Christmas, inspired by the shepherds' silent but powerful encounter. Reflecting on Luke 2:15-20, he asks us to consider what messages we'll hear this season that might lead us to encounter Jesus face to face. Just as the shepherds responded urgently to the good news, Rae prompts us to think about where our "feet" will take us this Christmas—towards worship or lost in the rush.
Emphasizing the significance of Jesus' incarnation, Rae highlights Christmas as a powerful reminder of the Savior born from God. He encourages us to contemplate what we'll see this Christmas and how it will impact us.
Drawing from the shepherds' vocal proclamation, Rae urges us to use our tongues to share the greatest news about Jesus. Like the shepherds, we have a responsibility to spread this message.
The shepherds' return to work becomes a lesson in offering continuous praise as a fitting response to the good news. Rae invites us to engage all our senses in experiencing Christmas, asking how we will praise and glorify Jesus. Consider what you've heard, what you see, where your actions lead you, and what you will say in praising Him this Christmas.

Discipleship Program
Discipleship is core to the Christian Life. Jesus modeled what discipleship looks like with the twelve and as ambassadors for Jesus, we also seek to grow ourselves, as well as promote the growth of others, through intentional discipleship. The Alumni Association seeks to grow the discipleship of alumni through targeted alumni programs in the future. Currently, alumni who wish to engage in the student discipleship program (either as a discipleship group leader or as a participant) may contact Dr. Steve Norris, Director of Discipleship to learn how to get plugged in: snorris@gsot.edu.
